After deploying an image, sometimes the MT45 is unable to get any connection through the network card.

Problem:

Sometimes after deploying an image to a MT45, the machine boots and is unable to get any network connection through the network card. A driver update within the image and an updated Boot.wim in the repository will fix this issue.

 Resolution:

Download the files from: MT45 Network lost fix.zip

Replacement of boot.wim file:

1. Go to Repository folder \HPDM\Repository\Tools\Imaging\WinPE\sources
2. Rename current boot.wim to boot.old
3. Copy from archive boot.wim to folder \HPDM\Repository\Tools\Imaging\WinPE\sources

Update driver under OS:

1. Install factory image on ThinClient
2. Disable HPWF
3. Reboot
4. Login to OS as Admin
5. Open “Device Manager”
6. Update drivers for Ethernet NIC by provided new drivers version 10.051
7. Check that drivers installed correctly
8. Reboot ThinClient
9. Login as Admin and Enable HPWF (optional)
10. Capture current image with updated drivers by HPDM
11. From now you can deploy captured image to ThinClient in loop without any issue.
