Capture Image fails on Thin Clients with 1809 and the latest Cumulative updates

When SSU: KB4512937 and LCU: KB4511553 or later are installed on a Thin Client with Windows 10 IoT RS5 (1809). Capturing the image afterwards will result in an error within WinPE "HPDM Capture: IBRPE.exe - Application Error "

* UPDATE: HP Device Manager 5.0 SP5 Fixes this issue!! *

  1. Backup the binary “IBRPE.exe” in the Repository, default repository path is “C:\ProgramData\HP\HP Device Manager\HPDM\Repository\Tools\Imaging\HPWES8\ibr”
  2. Download IBRPE.exe
  3. Copy The new binary “IBRPE.exe” in the path folder to
    “C:\ProgramData\HP\HP Device Manager\HPDM\Repository\Tools\Imaging\HPWES8\ibr”, overwite duplicate files.
  4. Send Capture image task to device.

Update 14-03-2020:

We noticed that in SP2 of HP Device Manager 5.0 this problem still exists and IBRPE.EXE is overwritten with an old (non-working) version. So after installing SP2 re-apply this fix to your installation.
