HP Device Manager version 5.0.11 is planned to be released in Fall 2023. As of this update, End of Support operating systems will no longer be fully manageable from HP Device Manager. Devices running an End of Support operating system will automatically move to the ‘Unidentified’ tab where only the Wake-on-LAN task is available. Unsupported operating systems in 5.0.11: ThinPro 5, ThinPro 6, ThinPro 7.0, ThinPro 7.1, WES7P, WES7E, Windows 32-bit version

Microsoft’s extended end date for Windows Embedded Standard 7 was October 2020 and is no longer supported or patched by Microsoft and does not meet HP security standards.

HP recommends migrating affected devices to one of the following fully supported operating systems prior to upgrading HP Device Manager to version 5.0.11: ThinPro 7.2, ThinPro 8.0, ThinPro 8.1, Win10IoT 2019, or Win10IoT 2021.
