Problem:

When running MS Teams locally on the MT45, MS Teams and even the MT45 will often crash. This is because the MT45’s dedicated video memory is set to 2 GB on default. When running Teams the MT45 will use all memory which will result in a crash. Dedicated video memory can be set within the BIOS and is by default set to “Auto”. Normally this would mean 512 MB. But on the MT45 this option will result to 2 GB.

Resolution:

To fix this issue, we will have to set the dedicated video memory to 512 within the BIOS. You can use the HP Bios Config Utility to automate this process.
